This is a samsung satellite receiver of sun direct DTH. It is a MPEG2 & MPEG4 compatible receiver. It can decrypt Irdeto encrypted chanal by using smartcard given by sundirect.it uses a small 60cm satellite dish to receive chanals from satellite MEASAT 3a ..It was before started DTH service through insat 4B but due to some technical problems in the transponders later shifted to nearest satellite measat 3a..
Sun direct is famous for South Indian channels..It gives large number of South Indian channels at low rates than other DTH services..
