C-Band LNB

Here is the Universal C-band LNB......

It is a C-band LNB(Low noise block down converter) used in C-band satellite reception. It is the receiving device of a parabolic satellite dish antenna of the type commonly used for satellite TV reception. The LNB is a combination of Low-noise amplifier, block downconverter and IF amplifier. It takes the received microwave transmission, amplifies it, downconverts the block of frequencies down to a lower block of intermediate frequencies where the signal can be fed to the indoor satellite TV receiver using relatively cheap cable.

This LNB specifications are...

I/P Frequency :3.4-4.2GHz
O/P frequency :950-1750MHz
Gain : 65dB(TYP.)
Noise : 13K(TYP.)

some Inside pictures of single pol LNB ....

The c-band LNB are 2 types Single pole and dual pol lnb's...Single pole lnb are now almost not available in the market .they can recieve only one polarity signal Horizontal or vertical. By rotating your LNB 90 degree it can be switched to horizontal or vertical..you can see only single metal rod inside the LNB

 C-band Dual LNB

It is used to recieve both Horizontal as well as vertical polarity signals from the same satellite by adjusting the voltage 13V/18V. 13 volts for vertical and 18 volts for horizontal determines which polarization is passed on through the LNB for amplification and block-downconversion. During 13V one rod is activated and during 18V another rod is activated.

See below the images of dual lnb.......
